Mao, the most evil monster in human history
Massive losses of lives put the three monsters of the last century to the top of the evil list – Hitler, Stalin and Mao. Mao stands out as the most evil. He was a 1. ruthless butcher, 2. pathetic liar, 3. shameless cheater, 4. despicable traitor. He beats Hitler and Stalin in every sense of evil.
1. Mao, a ruthless butcher.
- His killing started with the peasant bandit revolt led by him in his home province Hunan in 1927. The illiterate peasants understood nothing of communism, Marxism or Leninism. They just wanted to gain materials for their own use. Every landlord or rich peasant was a target. The revolt was essentially a massive robbery, rape of the wealthy’s wives and daughters and killing of innocent people organized by a political party.
- He showed his skill in faction struggle by launching the Strike of Anti-Bolshevik League in 1930. Tens of thousands of Red Army officers and soldiers were executed.
- Feeling the challenge from intellectuals, Mao started the Yan’an Rectification Movement resulting in more than 10,000 deaths of mostly intellectuals from 1942 to 1944 during the Second Sino-Japanese war.
- Killing of civilians started immediately after the CCP took power with the land reform. Mao specifically instructed that the land would not be taken over from landlords peacefully, and be done via struggles. Twenty million people were labeled landlord, rich peasant, counterrevolutionary or bad person, and 1- 2 millions of them are estimated to have been executed. Ironically, many of them were communist sympathizers who helped the CCP in various ways when the CCP was chased by either the Nationalists or the Imperial Japanese Army.
- Pushed by Mao’s repeated directives, the Campaign to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries became a killing spree. Many of the up to 2 million killed were executed only because they were somehow associated with the Nationalists before the CCP took over China (e.g. employees of the Nationalist government).
- Mao’s Anti-Rightist Movement persecuted 400,000 – 700,000 people, mainly intellectuals. Many of them were sent to labor camps, and died in the soon-to-come famine caused by Mao’s Great Leap Forward
- The Great Leap Forward started by Mao induced the greatest famine in history. The evilness of Mao was in full display when he purged the senior officials represented by Marshal Peng who voiced criticism of the Great Leap Forward to try to stop the famine. Mao’s persistent push for the campaign eventually resulted in the loss of 36 million lives to starvation.
- The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, Mao’s last and longest political campaign, persecuted about 100 million people and killed 20 million according to Marshal Ye Jianying.
Mao was responsible for the loss of about 80 million civilians. Germans under Hitler killed about 11 million non-combatants. The estimated number of civilians killed by Stalin’s regime is between 6 and 20 million. The latest studies based on declassified documents points to 6 million. This means Mao outmurdered Hitler and Stalin combined by a factor of 3.
2. Mao, a chronic liar
- The CCP was started as a branch of Comintern funded by the USSR. It was selling out China to the USSR by establishing a puppet government – Chinese Soviet Republic. Mao was the head of state of the Chinese Soviet Republic. When the Nationalists were succeeding in eradicating this USSR’s puppet and driving the CCP’s Red Army to flee from its base, Mao lied to Chinese people by saying they were marching north in order to resist the Japanese invaders.
- When the Red Army finally reached the Northwest reduced to around 40,000 from 300,000 strong at the start, Mao, who was the de facto leader of the CCP, immediately ordered 20,000 Red Army troops as the West Route Army to Xinjiang, the opposite direction of where the Japanese invaders were – the northeast. This reveals whether Mao really wanted to fight the Japanese. The West Route Army was largely wiped out by Ma clique. Mao lied again by claiming no responsibility for the failure of the West Route Army, and blamed Zhang Guotao, a major rival of his, for the failure. Telegrams clearly showed the West Route Army was directed closely by the CCP’s center.
- Mao wrote in an article published in 1937-11-01: “We should never be pessimistic due to the current situation. We completely agree with Mr. Chiang Kai-shek’s speech on October 9, and will fight to the end, to the last man and the last gun. This is what our communist party meant by “shed the last drop of blood to defend out country”, and our basic strategy regarding the current situation.” However, at Lushan Conference in 1959, Mao lashed out at Peng for his launching the Hundred Regiments Offensive inflicting heavy casualties on the Imperial Japanese Army. He said that “The communist party, the Nationalist Party and the Japanese were the three rivals then, and we wanted the Nationalists and the Japanese to kill each other while we were developing and expanding ourselves. Some comrades thought the smaller area the Japanese occupied, the better. A consensus was reached later: letting the Japanese occupy more land is patriotic. Otherwise, we would be loving Chiang Kai-shek’s country.” This amply shows that Mao had little intention to resist the invading Japanese. His anti-Japanese posture was a way to cheat the world.
- In 1957, Mao used the Hundred Flowers Campaign to encourage people to express their opinion openly. It appeared to be the only period with the freedom of speech under the rule of the CCP. However, it turned out to be a trap set up by Mao. He followed the Hundred Flowers Campaign with the Anti-Rightists Movement which labeled about 300,000 people who criticized him, his party or his government as rightists. Many of them committed suicide or were starved to death in labor camps during the ensuing famine that Mao generated with his Great Leap Forward Movement.
3. Mao, a shameless cheater and womanizer. His behavior towards the women loyal to him best demonstrates this.
- Mao started to fool around with 17 years old He Zizheng in 1927 while his wife of 7 years, Yang Kaihui, was struggling to raise their 3 kids lonely. Yang was arrested in 1930, and sentenced to death in November of 1930 because of her loyalty to Mao who had already married He for more than two years by then.
- Mao started fooling around with Jiang Qing immediately after He Zizheng left Yan’an in 1937, and married Jiang in 1938 while He Zizheng was treating her wound sustained in the Long March that she endured by following Mao.
- Mao started his long journey of womanizing with young girls recruited for him after he moved to Zhongnahai in 1949 while remaining married to Jiang.
4. Mao, a despicable traitor
- The CCP was founded as a branch of Communist International (i.e. Comintern), or a puppet of Bolshevik. The USSR provided critical funding, training, advisory staff, and military assistance to the CCP for about 3 decades after its founding. The CCP leadership consisted largely of Soviet puppets for its first few decades. Mao was one of them even though he broke up with the USSR later. He was the president of CCP’s first government – Chinese Soviet Republic. The CCP was not shy in revealing their puppet status in the official name of their government. Mao and his comrades followed their Soviet master’s orders obediently most of time putting Soviet interest ahead of their own country’s interest.
- When Generalissimo Jiang was preparing China by strengthening its economy and military to resist the Japanese invasion, Mao was busy creating a nation within a nation. When Stalin needed China to trap the Japanese in China so that Japan could not attack the USSR from the east front, Mao raised the anti-Japanese flag to fool people. However, he sent a large portion of Red Army – West Route Army – west, the opposite direction of the Japanese occupation in the northeast.
- After Japan started its massive invasion in 1937, Mao was doing his best to expand the CCP’s territories and military force instead of fighting the Japanese. The commander of the CCP’s most successful anti-Japanese campaign - 100-regime campaign, Peng Dehuai was purged later partially because of his leading this campaign.
- When a US marine was accused of raping a Chinese college student in Beijing in 1947, Mao’s CCP led a multi-city massive protest involving hundreds of thousands of people. However, the USSR Red Army raped Chinese women in a massive scale with the support of Mao’s CCP when they invaded Manchuria to defeat the Imperial Japanese Army in 1945. Many Chinese who defended women against the Red Army or criticized their outrageous crimes were purged, even executed by Mao’s CCP later. Two million German women were raped by the Red Army during their occupation. It would not be surprised at all if the number of Chinese women raped by the Red Army is in millions. Because of Mao’s betrayal of China, the truth has been buried. We may never have a good estimate of the number of victims.
- Russia took 1.5 million square kilometers of land from China by two unfair treaties forced upon China - the Treaty of Aigun in 1858 and the Treaty of Peking in 1860. Stalin promised to return it to China at one point of time. Mao effectively gave up the right to regain the lost land for China. His following successor Jiang Zeming signed the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation Between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation in 2001 to give up the land permanently.
